Today I had the honor of speaking to the Dallas Rotary Club. I shared with them the many ways mentors have helped to shape my life, principles, and values. I also discussed some of the opportunities I have had to mentor others.

I have served as a Georgia Supreme Court certified mentor on behalf of the State Bar of Georgia for a number of years to younger attorneys in the District Attorney’s office. I have also worked John Marshall School of Law externship program for the past four years. I am extremely proud that there are now three attorneys in the District Attorney’s office who previously worked with me as an intern.

I finished by challenging each of the Rotarians to find men and women in their lives to mentor.

This was a great meeting with a great group of people who are actively serving their community. The Dallas Rotary meets every Thursday morning at 7:45 at Audrey’s Cafe.
